Portal empresarial y eficiencia interna

Port Aventura, S.A., the leading company in Spain in the field of vacation and leisure centres, currently manages and operates the Port Aventura theme park, the Costa Caribe aquatic zone and the Port Aventura and El Paso Hotels, all located within the city limits of Vila-seca and Salou (Tarragona, Spain).
Port Aventura is an organisation that is especially committed to optimising its processes and maximising the efficiency of its internal customers and employees. Among the initiatives that it undertakes from time to time in this respect, the most important include the renewal of its intranet technology infrastructure and the enhancement of some of its critical processes such as personnel hiring. 

Objectives of the Project 

Synthetically, the major objectives in this initiative were: 

  • To avail of a work environment allowing collaborators a single point of access to all of the necessary applications and information, accessible by intranet or extranet. 
  • To improve internal efficiency, helping to furnish the precise information at the right time to the group of employees requiring it. 
  • To optimise the execution of critical, highly repetitive processes that take up a lot of time and resources (for instance staff hiring), by automating and controlling the associated task flow.    

Proposed Solution 

The platform chosen for the company portal had to be robust, scalable, suited to the latest technology standards and supported by a renowned software manufacturer. At present Port Aventura, supported by its SAP partner, DMR Consulting, is in the process of implementing the mySAP Enterprise Portal. This solution, integrated with the Workflow processes that will be built in its R/3 system, will fully meet the business objectives that were proposed. 

Plans for the Future 

The mySAP Enterprise Portal establishes the bases for the future value added service portal for employees, suppliers, customers and partners in general.
